Sunsets and Romance...

We have had some of the most gorgeous sunsets this summer. While catching this one tonight, a couple of clouds moved together and formed the heart that you see.

Nathaniel's Reward

After yet another long day of car shopping, we took Nathaniel to the Army Heritage Center for a walk to see some things of interest to him. The salesman who spent nearly 3 hours with us couldn't believe how good he and Haley were. We stopped in last weekend but only had a half hour to look around, so we gave it another try this weekend. We had an hour and the weather wasn't great (light drizzle) but he had a good time. Haley too -- she's happy in this cool weather and loves the walking.

My favorite of them in quite awhile.

Some of Nathaniel's favorite things...

A little stop along the way for a picture or two...

Can't you tell they're happy about it?

Or maybe not!

My First Unofficial Shoot

I did my first unpaid shoot at my house on Sat. August 1st. My sister had been viewing my blog with a co-worker who wondered if I'd be interested in photographing her child. I agreed and gave it a try. I'm pretty satisfied with the results but learned it's not time to quit my "day job" yet.

I created this storyboard as a little "extra" because I didn't get the variety of shots I wanted for mom. My little subject didn't want to leave her mommy's arms :) I did manage to get a few "keepers".

I learned in talking with mom that she'd love if I could incorporate butterflies. I scanned a piece of scrapbook paper that brought out her eyes and added a butterfly and frame and I love it.

A simple B & W of one of my favorite images from the session.

I love the excitement in this one!

Another creation taken from the image below.

I love that this moment was captured.

Site Still Under Construction

I began working on this a year ago as a place to share photos with friends and family and to connect with other 4p- families. I love pictures so they are here but editting them is time-consuming, so the journaling falls behind. My deadlines keep getting moved back... and back... and back... I work outside the home 5-6 days a week so there is little time for the things I really enjoy... photography and 4p- kiddos blogs generally take precedence over my own blog. I still have not gone through Christmas pictures yet and I have many, many pictures from the beach last month. Stop back from time to time -- as I will get to them. I will get to the journaling too... I am planning on discussing our journey since Haley's 4p- diagnosis at 3 weeks of age. So many plans... so little time!

Superheroes and Summer Fun!!!

Nathaniel loves jumping into the pool this year. Swimming classes at school were a good thing! He loves to do 360s from the deck. I have a few shots of those -- just not editted yet.

Nathaniel, when he saw this next shot, said, "I love that. I look like a superhero!"

Mommy is working on her editing skills with pictures and playing around with her new lenses. Haley loves it and Nathaniel is sick of it...
