Time to Play
I took these pictures while visiting my parents this past weekend. Haley has finally decided she wants to play with toys. She began this summer, but in the last week or two, is transferring toys from hand to hand on a consistent basis. This is a big accomplishment for Haley.
These are moments I like to see...

We thought she might actually pick up a new skill. Nathaniel was really wanting Haley to put the toys in, but Haley had other plans.
After a few tears ...
Nathaniel being disappointed...
and giving up... despite his best coaching efforts,
Haley decided she's happy...
and will do things when she's good and ready...

When I look at your pictures of Haley, so many of them remind me of Riley. She has some of the same looks and expressions, same postures, two little peas in a pod. Like Haley, Riley will do things when she is good and ready. It's hard not to push too hard sometimes. I keep reminding myself to take a step back and let her develop at her pace. Your comments are a good reminder of that. Nathaniel looks like such an amazing brother, with such a big heart.
